The family brought me down to Wilmington today, and tomorrow morning I'll be leaving from Carolina beach. Weighing in this morning: Bike is 40 lbs, Gear is 110+ lbs, Max is 170 lbs... This may be a humbling experience.
Humility is a good thing but I'm confident you and the Lord are up to the challenge. Praying for you daily, brother in arms and brother in Christ. - Bill Wilson
I wondered as we dropped you off if there is any particular significance to the date 5-16. Two of the four gospels DO have apropos comments, but the one I like most for your departure is Luke's: "So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed." Someone commented to me, Max, how lonely it will be on your journey to Oregon. That would be true, except that I believe you mean to draw near to the Spirit of God, and He is faithful to draw near to you. I look forward each day to hearing from you about this adventure.
